What is a Globe Valve? Globe valves (GV) are mostly in-demand in various Industries. A common use of Globe Valve is to control the flow of fluid in a pipeline and adjust the Gaps between the Globe Shaped Plug and the Ring Seat. What is Trunnion Mounted Ball Valve? The  trunnion ball valve  is a form of quarter-turn valve which uses a hollow, perforated and fixed/supported ball to control flow through it. The trunnion is available for all sizes and for all pressure classes but they are not suitable for throttling purposes. Trunnion mounted ball valves , uses a spring mechanism or line pressure assistance to drive the upstream seat against the stationary ball. The surface area exposed to the pressure through the relatively small passageway is actually just the back of the seat.   Trunnion ball valve is fixed, as it does not move with medium pressure.
